On August 15, 2024, Independence Day was commemorated with a vibrant and engaging celebration. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. G. Sugumar, Ex-Vice Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Fisheries University, who was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The day began with a solemn flag hoisting ceremony, followed by an impressive March Past featuring students from STD VI to XII. The students showcased their discipline and unity with remarkable precision. The celebration continued with a variety of performances, including a colorful fancy dress competition and a lively dance performance by students of STD X. Additionally, the cultural program featured traditional Silambam and Rope Mallakhamb forms, adding a rich cultural touch to the festivities.
